Melbourne Wolves will share a document in the Team Managers' WhatsApp group. Add your preferred email address to the document. We will use this address to send your personal Operandio link.

Your Operandio link may arrive shortly after the season starts.

6

Submit your documents

When you receive your Operandio link, upload:

  • Your Working with Children Check
  • Your Basketball Victoria Member Declaration
7

Send parents the Parent Checklist

The Parent Checklist includes registration, uniforms, important dates and season information.

8

Read your competition's need-to-know guide

Please read the guide for your competition and keep it handy during the season. It answers many common questions about fill-in players, forfeits, finals eligibility and other game rules. Melbourne Wolves is always happy to help. Checking the guide first may give you the answer straight away.

If applicable

Complete these tasks if they apply to your team.

1

Follow up uniforms

Parents order and pay for uniforms through the Melbourne Wolves Shop. The website collects sizes and preferred jersey numbers. Team Managers do not collect orders or payments.

You are the contact between the team and Melbourne Wolves for uniform questions. Remind families to order by the deadline.

2

Confirm your Coach

Every team needs a Coach. Most Melbourne Wolves Coaches are parent volunteers.

Melbourne Wolves supports parent Coaches with guidance and small-group coaching workshops. We may be able to connect your team with someone from our coaching network. Availability changes each season and depends on whether a Coach can attend your allocated training time.

The Team Manager contacts the Coach and arranges training attendance, coaching responsibilities and any coaching fees directly. Melbourne Wolves does not manage these arrangements.

Helpful

Help families prepare for the season.

1

Prepare families

The Parent Checklist links families to MyHoops for fixtures, Glory League for game recordings and Stack Team App for SBA stadium access.

2

Create a scoring roster

Create and share a scoring roster. Use player names rather than parent names. Scorers must be at least 14 years old.

3

Training allocation

SBA training times will be allocated by 20 December for teams registered by the deadline.

Melbourne Wolves will make sure your training time does not clash with your team's game day. Other requests will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Earlier times will be offered to younger teams where possible.

Training courts are tightly scheduled and times can be difficult to change. Organise a Coach who can attend your allocated training time.

Team Managers may contact each other and agree to swap training times. Tell Melbourne Wolves if a swap is arranged so the schedule can be updated.

4

Alternative training venues

Contact Melbourne Wolves before arranging training at a new venue. The venue may require club insurance documents and checks for the people attending.
