Complete these steps before the deadline
Confirm your team
Make sure your child has been offered a place in a Melbourne Wolves team before registering.
Register through PlayHQ
Select the registration link for your child's competition. Complete registration by the deadline and check that you receive a PlayHQ confirmation email.
Order a uniform
Order your child's uniform through the Melbourne Wolves Shop. You will provide the size and preferred jersey number when ordering. Your Team Manager is your contact for team uniform questions.
Orders placed after the deadline may not arrive before the first game.
Join your team chat
Your Team Manager will send you a link to the team's WhatsApp group.
Complete these steps only if they apply to your child
SBA representative players
SBA representative players must join an A or B Grade domestic team. Tell your Coach or Team Manager your child's allocated player points.
SBA stadium entry
SBA families can use Stack Team App to purchase stadium entry passes.

Things to remember
Grading games
The first four games of the season are grading games.
To be eligible for finals, your child must play:
- At least three of the four grading games; or
- At least two of the three games if the team has a bye during grading
Tell your Team Manager as soon as possible if your child will miss a game.
Every team needs a Team Manager
Every team needs a parent volunteer to be the Team Manager. The Team Manager coordinates team communication, scoring rosters and practical team needs.

Competition structure
Competitions run in line with Victorian public-school terms. No rounds are scheduled on public holidays, including Australia Day, Labour Day, Easter, ANZAC Day, King's Birthday, Melbourne Cup, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Weekend games
Weekend games run from approximately 8:15am to 7:30pm. Younger age groups are generally scheduled earlier in the day, though game times may vary week to week due to external circumstances and are not guaranteed.
Weekday games
After-school competition (U8-U10) runs approximately 4:05pm to 6:20pm on Wednesdays. Over 30s/35s runs approximately 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Wednesdays.
Before each game
- Check MyHoops for the latest game time and venue.
- Tell your Team Manager as soon as possible if your child will be absent.
- Follow your Team Manager's uniform instructions.
- Check whether your family is rostered to score.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Remove watches and jewellery before the game.
Uniform colours
Your Team Manager will confirm which uniform your team should wear.
- Boys generally wear white. Your Team Manager will advise when blue is required.
- Girls wear pink for home games and white for away games.
Scoring duties
Parents take turns scoring throughout the season. Your Team Manager will provide the scoring roster.
No experience is required. Scorers must be at least 14 years old.
If you cannot complete your allocated duty, arrange a replacement and tell your Team Manager.
How to score a gameSeason breaks (no games)
The Summer 2026/27 season runs from Saturday 3 October 2026 (Wednesday 7 October 2026 for the Wednesday competition) through to Grand Final weekend on 20-21 March 2027 (Wednesday 24 March 2027). No rounds are scheduled over the following periods:
- Melbourne Cup Weekend - 31 October to 3 November 2026
- Election Weekend - 28 to 29 November 2026
- End of Year Break / School Holidays - 17 December 2026 to 27 January 2027
- Labour Day Long Weekend - 6-8 March 2027
